Andres is the Head of Strategy and Business Development – Electricity Products. Prior to joining Intersect Power, Andres was a Senior Vice President at Macquarie’s Green Investment Group. In his role, he was responsible for principal investments as part of the Energy Technology group, which included investments in energy storage, fleet electrification, and retail power.
Previously, he was at Tesla leading sales and business development for Tesla’s utility-scale energy storage efforts across the U.S. and Latin America. While at Tesla, he was responsible for the commercialization of Tesla’s Moss Landing and Mira Loma projects, both of which were the world’s largest batteries at the time of contracting. Prior to joining Tesla, Andres was part of the origination and structuring team at Recurrent Energy, where he led market strategy and power marketing efforts for over 1GW of solar projects. Andres also worked at Energy and Environmental Economics after having graduated from Swarthmore College with a B.S. in Engineering and a B.A. in Economics.
