Christian Fiene is a Principal at Intersect Power. He supports siting and development efforts, with a focus on the eastern and central United States.
Prior to joining Intersect Power, Christian was the Director of Solar Development at Gardner Capital, one of the largest affordable housing developers in the country, and a leading developer, owner, and operator of small scale utility solar assets. In that role, Christian was actively developing and acquiring utility-scale solar projects throughout the country, with a particular focus in the central, northeastern, and southeastern U.S. energy markets.
Prior to joining Gardner Capital, Christian was a Manager of Development at Recurrent Energy, one of North America’s largest solar project developers. Christian focused on development in Ontario, Canada and in Texas.
He brings project development expertise, with a focus on siting, interconnection, and power marketing, as well as late-stage experience financing, constructing, and commissioning utility-scale solar projects. In his four years at Recurrent Energy and two years at Gardner Capital, Christian assisted in bringing nearly half a gigawatt of utility-scale solar projects to commercial operation.
He started his career at ACES Power Marketing, working as a real-time power trader, focusing on PJM, MISO, and CAISO.
Christian holds a B.A. in Economics and a B.A. in History from Indiana University, in Bloomington, IN.
