Marisa Mitchell

Vice President, Environmental and Permitting

Marisa leads land-use permitting, community engagement, and environmental policy matters for Intersect Power. Marisa is passionate about designing renewable energy infrastructure that minimizes environmental impacts and maximizes environmental enhancements. Working in the utility-scale renewable energy space since 2006, she has a wealth of experience in all phases of the development cycle, from initial site selection through construction compliance. Marisa has expertise in relevant environmental laws and policies and key relationships with regulators.

Marisa served on the Avian Solar Working Group and was appointed in 2017 to the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Royalty Policy Committee. Marisa is also a part-time summer lecturer in Corporate Finance at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.

Marisa holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business, an MA in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a BS in Environmental Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
