QUANTUM
The Quantum Clean Energy Project (Quantum I and II) is a proposed solar photovoltaic facility and a battery energy storage system project located in unincorporated Haskell County, TX. The project is expected to generate 640 MWac of solar power and includes 640 MW of battery storage.
As the nation’s leader in energy production, Texas is uniquely positioned to champion an ‘all of the above’ energy strategy that leverages the State’s diverse energy resources. This approach ensures a reliable, sustainable, and prosperous future for all Texans.
We recognize the importance of balancing conservation efforts with the need for additional domestic energy sources.
COMMUNITY BENEFITS
Our projects support rural economic development for both landowners and the local community through job creation, increased tax revenue, and support of local non-profit organizations. Through our domestic supply chain, we support the growth of U.S. manufacturing by sourcing American-made products, including our batteries, solar panels, and steel.
Quantum project will generate:

400-500
new jobs during construction

up to 5
permanent, full time jobs

Over ~125 Million
in taxes and public fees over its lifetime (including school district, groundwater conservation district, memorial hospital, and county)
COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS
Our philanthropic efforts extend across a diverse range of organizations, focusing on kids educational programs, health and human services, conservation and sustainability and community events and activities.

What happens at the end of the project life?
- The facility is expected to have a useful life of 35-50 years. When components reach the end of their useful life, the project could be repowered (retrofitted with new components) or removed altogether. At the end of its life, the facilities would be decommissioned and dismantled in accordance with regulatory requirements. The majority of the project’s components will be suitable for recycling or reuse and the site will be restored to its original condition.
- When the project reaches its useful lifespan and is deconstructed, topsoil would be reclaimed across the entire project area and the site would be reseeded with an approved and locally appropriate seed mix.
